When we started this business in October 2019, we had no idea what 2020 would bring for the travel industry and for the world. To say it has been challenging is definitely an understatement, but this year has also taught us some invaluable lessons. We plan to carry these lessons with us into 2021 and beyond.
Optimism is a key to longevity.
It’s been a tough year to remain positive, but we have been so lucky to be surrounded by family, friends, and business associates that have helped us keep our heads up. We love what we do and we can’t wait to continue planning amazing vacations for our clients. Our optimism has been so important to keep us motivated and focused on our future.
Travel accommodations will likely never look the same.
We think it’s safe to say that not many people thought too much about face masks or social distancing when they were traveling. It also has never been common to see cleaning protocols on a hotel’s website. We have a feeling that this is changing and that the travel industry will be all the better for it. Masks while traveling, enhanced cleaning procedures, better cognizance of social distancing… all of these things will just make travel better and safer.
Travel is also important for mental health.
Whether you’re traveling around the world or around the block, getting out of the house has become so evidently important. We know that so many people have struggled this year being stuck mostly inside. It’s become increasingly evident that travel is so important to our well-being and we can’t wait for a time we are able to get out more.
Business struggles are made easier with a good partner by your side.
We have been so lucky to have each other to lean on. We know that so many small businesses are struggling and that many won’t survive this pandemic. We are so fortunate to have found in each other a teammate that can help us ride out the storm.
The travel industry will be back… and stronger than ever.
